About ELS Abatement & Construction

Services provided by ELS Abatement & Construction are unique in that its multiple capabilities afford the industries, in which it participates, somewhat of a one-stop shop. With the added benefits of utilizing its SBA certifications as a Disabled Veteran-Owned and Hispanic-Owned business, its activities are sought to provide participation required in government funded work. As an 8(a) certified contractor, ELS is eligible for government set-aside opportunities in construction and abatement of hazardous materials in various government facilities. Many of its projects include asbestos abatement and construction services on military installations, VA hospitals, and emergency response to FEMA in times of man-made or natural disasters. ELS has found new opportunities since purchasing equipment for use in abrasive rust removal and application of coatings of industrial components and flooring in facilities such as water treatment plants and chemical storage in manufacturing operations.

Mr. Cardona maintains relationships with experts in the fields of moisture monitoring, abatement assessment and quantification, coating technology, and engineering. ELS Abatement & Construction utilizes employees of its sister company, Environmental and Labor Solutions, to staff abatement and remediation job sites and subcontractors for its multiple scopes in construction.

Mr. Cardona takes great pride in his leadership abilities, his personal concern for those who work on his various projects, and the associations that enrich his opportunities to grow a multi-performance organization. His ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a tremendous asset in negotiating and training Spanish speaking workers. He had an occasion to translate the training of workers in Mexico on behalf of a Co-Op with Moran Towing and Boluda Towing and Salvage, a Spanish owned company. He also provided training in Spanish to workers in two states during the BP Deep Water Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
